SNUG 2022 Review – a great event

The end of November saw Lexacom attend the Scottish National Users’ Group Conference, SNUG 2022.

Head of Sales, Simon Brady represented us, enjoying the fantastic opportunity to see both old and new customers in the flesh for what, for many, was the first time in three years.

Simon helped kick off the conference with one of the two 9.30am workshops. He took an attentive audience through an introduction to Lexacom’s digital dictation and speech recognition products. Covering how they save time, and work to help best utilise practices’ admin resources, while doing it all in an efficient and secure manner.

The workshop also included a live demo of both products – Lexacom 3 (digital dictation) and Lexacom Echo (speech recognition) – including the unique capability of Lexacom Echo to add plain English definitions after medical terms, thanks to its use of the Comprehension Engine, another new capability Lexacom has recently brought to market.

Meeting customers

After the workshop, Simon could be found on Lexacom’s stand, in the Fleming Lounge of the Westerwood Hotel. Here he went into more detail on specific practice managers and Lexacom product users’ questions and queries. This in turn has led to a good number of follow-up calls and actions, as the attendees want to explore their own options for using Lexacom’s range of products and services.

Vision

The conference had several items covering the Cegedim GP IT system, Vision, which is now accredited across NHS Scotland. This included a presentation on the insights and best practices gained by NHS Glasgow, which piloted the system.

While moves to Vision will mean many practices will change their GP IT system, they will of course still be able to use their Lexacom products as they work with all leading GP IT systems.

Looking forward to SNUG 2023

SNUG 2022 in review, was an excellent event, as it has always been. But this year’s return to a true rather than virtual event made it even better – a common theme we are finding throughout this year.

Lexacom is therefore very much looking forward to next year’s event and repeating the success of SNUG 2022.
