How to configure a microphone for Lexacom 3

Your USB microphone must be plugged in to the PC before logging into Lexacom 3. Once you have logged in to Lexacom 3 the device should automatically sync with your Lexacom system.

If you have logged into Lexacom 3 before plugging in your Microphone

• Log out of Lexacom 3
• Plug in your Microphone Device
• Reopen Lexacom 3

Alternatively

• Go to > Settings if in Toolbar mode or
  • Click the Settings icon if in Form mode
• Go to Audio > Recording Device
• Select Refresh and choose your preferred microphone

If you have more than one recording device connected to your PC

E.g. a webcam
You may need to change the device Lexacom 3 is currently trying to use, as this could affect the quality of your audio.

• Go to > Settings if in Toolbar mode or
  • Click the Settings icon if in Form mode
• Go to Audio > Recording Device
• Select the correct microphone and channel
• Click Save

To change your Recording button preferences:

• Go to > Settings (if in Toolbar mode), or click the Settings icon ( ) (if in Form mode)
• Go to Other > Device Control Configuration box
• Tick (or untick) the checkbox for the preferred behaviour(s):
  • I want to hold the play button to play audio
  • I want to hold the record button to record audio
• Click Save
• Reopen Lexacom 3 Talk
