Your USB microphone must be plugged in to the PC before logging in to Lexacom. Once you have logged in to Lexacom the device should automatically sync with your Lexacom system.

If you have logged in to Lexacom before plugging in your Microphone
  • Log out of Lexacom
  • Plug in your Microphone Device
  • Reopen Lexacom

Alternatively

  • Go to > Settings if in Toolbar mode or
    • Click the Settings icon if in Form mode
  • Go to Audio > Recording Device
  • Select Refresh and choose your preferred microphone
If you have more than one recording device connected to your PC

E.g. a webcam
You may need to change the device Lexacom is currently trying to use, as this could affect the quality of your audio.

  • Go to > Settings if in Toolbar mode or
    • Click the Settings icon if in Form mode
  • Go to Audio > Recording Device
  • Select the correct microphone and channel
  • Click Save
To change your Recording button preferences:
  • Go to > Settings (if in Toolbar mode), or click the Settings icon ( ) (if in Form mode)
  • Go to Other > Device Control Configuration box
  • Tick (or untick) the checkbox for the preferred behaviour(s):
    • I want to hold the play button to play audio
    • I want to hold the record button to record audio
  • Click Save
  • Reopen Lexacom Talk
