Lexacom sees major growth in use of mobile dictation

Leading digital dictation company, Lexacom, has seen a massive 750% increase in the number of mobile dictations recorded since the launch of its iPhone App nine months ago as more people choose to dictate on the move.

With the company’s latest digital dictation software, enabling Lexacom Mobile users to dictate anytime, anywhere, track and approve documents just as if they were at their desk, the number of mobile dictations recorded has doubled every three months since April.

The news comes hot on the heels of Lexacom’s Android app launch, giving the same flexibility already enjoyed by iPhone and iPad users. With recent improvements to the Android app to make it even more user friendly, mobile dictation is fast becoming a popular choice with Lexacom customers.

“Lexacom Mobile has really taken off, which just goes to show that people really value the ability to dictate at a time and place that suits them,” said Lexacom Managing Director Dr. Andrew Whiteley. “We’ve had some really positive feedback about how easy it is to use and how it makes a real difference to busy professionals who have little time to spare.”

Deborah Bradley from the Rushall Medical Centre in Walsall, said:

“The iPhone app has been particularly useful for our partners who sometimes prefer to catch up on additional paperwork at home after a busy surgery. Our locums use Lexacom Mobile across all the surgeries they work for by just picking up the correct surgery to dictate to.”

Working seamlessly with office-based Lexacom 3 digital dictation software, Lexacom Mobile allows users to record, track and approve on the move, using securely encrypted cloud technology. Users can record thoughts and actions in an instant whether at a meeting, visiting a patient or travelling. The dictation is then securely dispatched in the normal way for transcription by the secretarial team back at the office.

The app is available for Lexacom 3 users via iTunes and Google Play for just £3.99*
