The roles available to a team will depend on the services that they have activated.
All teams will have the roles associated with the Lexacom authentication service – Team Admin, Managed Team Creator, and Managed Team Admin.
If the team has (or has had) the Echo service activated, they will have the Echo Live role available.
If the team has (or has had) the Lexacom service activated, they will have the roles associated with this available (e.g. Author, Typist, etc.).
Future development work will allow teams to have team-specific roles that are tailored to that team’s needs.
The roles that user will need will depend on the work that they will do in the workflow, and which services or functions they need access to. Some common combinations of roles are:
If a user is using speech recognition only, they will need the Echo Live role.
These users will not need to be added to a pool.
If a user is using Lexacom to create and send jobs, they will need the Author role.
These users will also need to be added to a Pool – typically this will be the Author pool.
If a user is using Ambient AI to automatically create outputs from a live conversational input, they will need Echo Live and Author roles.
These users will also need to be added to a Pool – typically this will be the Author pool.
For secretarial staff who are transcribing or reviewing and processing letters, they will need the Typist role.
Many organisations choose to give all Typists the ‘Uncomplete Jobs‘ role – this will allow these users to retrieve previously completed jobs.
These users will also need to be added to a Pool – typically this will be the Typist pool.
This role allows users to send messages directly from Lexacom.
