How do I change whether my transcription is returned only when I stop recording?

By default, Echo will have proofreading with Comprehension Engine® enabled. With this enabled, Echo will return your transcription when you stop recording. Comprehension Engine®  proofreading requires the complete recording in order to format this correctly.

We strongly suggest leaving the comprehension engine mode on to experience the best results.
You may prefer Echo to hold your transcription if:

• You want the benefits of Comprehension Engine® proofreading

Alternatively, Echo can also return fragments continuously as you record. You may prefer this if:

• You do not want to use Comprehension Engine® proofreading

To set your preference:

• Go to the Menu > Settings
• Select Echo
  
• Toggle Hold transcription… setting on if you wish to hold until complete
  
• Toggle Hold transcription… setting off if you wish fragments to be returned as you record
  ⓘ  You will also need to toggle off the setting to use Comprehension Engine® proofreading first
  
• Click Save
