How Lexacom is changing, and how it will help you

An open letter to our users, from Lexacom founder and Managing Director Dr Andrew Whiteley

January 2026

I am writing to you to explain the changes at Lexacom and how we are working to provide you with exactly what you need to face the challenges of modern medical care.

For over 25 years, Lexacom has helped general practice cope with referrals and reports, helping secondary care referrals to be made up to 90% quicker than they were before.

Why I am writing to you
When I meet our users at conferences and events, I often find that our loyal and dedicated user base may not be aware of what we can now do to help them – so please do take a minute or two to read what I have to say.

There are now hundreds of companies offering free trials of the latest technology in the hope of gaining new users – to reward venture capitalists who have invested in them with the knowledge that the NHS is one of the largest and most reliable customers. Built around trust and a true passion for both the patient journey and clinician work/life balance, Lexacom remains the only privately funded company in the NHS primary care sector.

Unlimited access to our full suite of clinical documentation software – for all practice staff
As times have changed and technology has improved – so has Lexacom
The latest release of Lexacom (January 2026) has been designed to help the entire primary care team. And it will allow each user to work and use the features that they feel comfortable with and gain an advantage from. One application, with an impressive feature list; a truly bespoke solution for every user.
