How do I set up MFA?

Lexacom allows you to add an extra layer of security on your account by adding Multifactor Authentication (MFA).

Multifactor Authentication software will send a code to a nominated device which will need to be input alongside your username and password when logging into Echo.

To add MFA to your account:

  • Log into Lexacom Portal
  • If you are a Team Owner or Admin, go to menu > My Account
  • Select Multi-Factor Authentication from sidebar menu:
  • Validate your password if prompted
  • You will be prompted to install a verification app, such as Google Authenticator, to your mobile phone. If you already use an authenticator app with other software, you may use this.
  • Click “Yes, Ready To Scan Code” button when you are ready to continue
  • Open your authenticator app, and prepare to connect a new account within this
  • With the camera now activated position the QR code on the screen within the highlighted area on your phone screen.
  • The app will generate a 6 digit code
  • Enter the code into field and click the “Connect To Phone” button

If you do not have a smart phone, you can get your 6 digit code via text by selecting “I don’t have a smartphone”. On this page you can input your mobile number and you will receive a text message with your 6 digit code. With this method you will have to be able to receive a text to access your account.

  • In the last page, save your recovery keys. These are used to access your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.

!  YOU CAN NOT MOVE OFF THIS PAGE UNLESS YOU PRINT OR COPY THESE RECOVERY KEYS.

KEEP THESE KEYS SAFE – either stored on your computer or in a safe location physically – if you are unable to authenticate with your app these codes are the only way to access your account

You will then be required to log out of Portal and back in to complete the process.
