How do I capture my sound out with Ambient AI?

Ambient AI in Lexacom allows you to capture and process your sound output. Whilst output capture is enabled, Ambient AI will record and process both your sound input (sound recorded by your microphone) and sound output (sound played through your headphones or speaker).

You may want to do this if:

  • You are recording a live video or audio call, and need to capture both sides of the conversation
  • You are processing audio or video you have saved, and are playing back

To enable output capture:

  • Toggle the Capture Output setting on

  • You will be prompted to confirm that you want to capture output from your device

  • Click Yes to enable output capture

NOTE: If this is not the correct audio device, you can select the correct output device in the audio settings.
Select the device from which you can hear the other person as the output device.

Whilst output is captured, Lexacom will display a banner message.

Ensure that all participants are aware and consent to being recorded.

Some Ambient AI templates are designed to be used with audio or video calls. These templates may always enable output capture, as this is necessary for the template to work correctly. In this case, Capture Output will always be enabled. The setting will appear like this:

You will still be prompted to confirm that you consent to output capture when selecting this template.
