Echo Only Mode

Echo is Lexacom’s live speech recognition service, allowing you to enter text using your voice directly where you would normally type with a keyboard.

Echo is available as a stand-alone service or in addition to other Lexacom services – all within one combined application.

This page covers how to use Lexacom in Echo only mode.
While the features are the same there are some visual differences between the different modes.

If you are looking for Echo in combined mode, have a look at our Author training or, for clinical users, our Clinician training.

Brief Overview for Upgraded users

If you were previously using the old version of Echo and have upgraded to the improved Echo only mode within Lexacom, this video provides a brief overview of the differences and how to get the most from the upgrade.

Note: if you find that your software is not working as seen in this video, please contact us – it may be that we have not yet switched on the new features for your team.

We recommend uninstalling Echo 2.8 when upgrading to the new software. Details on how to do this can be found here: Upgrading to the latest software for Echo only users – Lexacom
