Lexacom Digital Dictation Unveils Autumn Events Programme

Lexacom, the UK’s leading digital dictation provider in the primary healthcare market, is attending a number of leading conferences in the next six months, at which improving efficiencies and use of effective technology are expected to be key themes.

The recent call by Jeremy Hunt MP for the NHS to become paperless by 2018, coupled with the ongoing increase in demand for NHS services, has put effective IT, including digital dictation, in the spotlight as a route to improving efficiency and patient care. Lexacom will therefore be attending the Healthcare Efficiency Through Technology Expo in October to meet chief officers, IT managers and clinicians looking to deliver these challenges and to discuss how Lexacom can help.

The company will also be exhibiting at Best Practice 2013, alongside hardware partners, Olympus, to talk to GPs and other clinicians about the challenges they are facing and the role digital dictation can play in speeding up and tracking patient referrals.

Lexacom digital dictation and workflow software is intuitive to use and has been shown to speed up the referral process significantly when compared to analogue dictation. GPs and secretaries benefit from the system, which reduces the amount of time spent on admin, enabling more time to be spent delivering high quality patient care. Lexacom integrates with leading clinical systems and will be attending both the EMIS National User Group Conference in October and the National Vision User Group conference in November.

Dr Andrew Whiteley, Managing Director of Lexacom, said “We are looking forward to meeting delegates and discussing their priorities in delivering efficient and effective patient care. Lexacom digital dictation software has already proved to be an invaluable tool for our clients in improving speed and accuracy of referrals and I look forward to being able to share that evidence with conference delegates.”

Lexacom will also be exhibiting at the Acute and General Medicine Conference in November, as well as Management in Practice that same month. For full details including stand numbers, please visit www.lexacom.co.uk/events
