Lexacom sponsor London Marathon competitor
Lexacom has generously sponsored a GP that is running this weekend’s Virgin London marathon in aid of the Shipston Home Nursing charity.
Dr Debbie Morgan is a familiar face at the Shipston-on-Stour practice in Warwickshire and will be taking part in her first-ever marathon on Sunday when she takes to the streets of the capital along with 45,000 other competitors.
The mum of three has decided to use the 26.2-mile event as a means of raising money for the Shipston Home Nursing charity that provides an invaluable ‘hospice at home’ service in her local community.
Lexacom has agreed to donate £1000 to her fundraising effort. Managing Director, Andy Whiteley, said: “Debbie has worked incredibly hard to get ready for the marathon and she is fully deserving of our support.
“It’s one hell of an achievement to run 26 miles and the fact that she’ll be putting herself through that to raise money for a great charity like Shipston Home Nursing is something to be extremely proud of.
“The whole of the Lexacom team and I wish her the very best of luck and hope she has a day to remember in London.”
Debbie will be running with the distinctive Lexacom logo on the back of her running vest and the Shipston Home Nursing logo on the front.
