Free software trials prove popular
Lexacom’s decision to offer prospective customers a free software trial is proving popular with practice managers across the UK.Interest in Lexacom’s software is currently at an all time high and the company is fielding around 35 free trial requests every month from GP practices and hospitals that want to see at firsthand the improvements the software brings to basic dictation techniques and therefore the streamlining of workflow management systems.Lexacom took the decision to offer a ‘try before you buy’ service because it is acutely aware that people who aren’t familiar with its digital dictation technology wrongly assume it’s expensive and complicated to use. The Village Surgery in New Barnet, North London, took advantage of a free trial in October and had no hesitation in completing a full time switch to Lexacom software afterwards.
Practice Manager, Lynn Fisher, said: “We used a stupid old fashioned tape system before but we saw the benefits of the Lexacom software straight away during our free trial – it was staggering.“I would recommend having a trial because we needed to see whether we would be able to get on with the software before we committed to it full time. It has been a great way of breeding confidence and helping us to make the transition to a new system.”
