The challenges:

Ageing analogue system regularly broke down Dictation sound quality was poor Workflow process needed to be more efficient

Life with Lexacom:

Time taken to process dictations is far quicker Secretaries freed up to do other value-added tasks Easy to use system Excellent customer service

The full story:

After a recommendation from another Practice Manager, St Fillan’s, which has a register of 9000 patients, made the move to Lexacom Digital Dictation because it found that an ageing and unreliable tape-based system was limiting its ability to process dictations and work efficiently.  Lexacom offered an easy to use system and excellent customer service.

Karen Manciocchi, Practice Manager has observed a real improvement in the speed at which the dictations are transcribed:

“The secretaries are always telling me how much time they are saving and how processing the information is much easier than it was.”  She adds: “This has enabled the secretaries to spend time doing other things in the department.”

St Fillan’s has enjoyed a really positive experience with Lexacom, from the free trial, which gave everyone time to test the system and to recognise the efficiencies the digital technology could produce, to the continuing excellent service.

Karen concludes: “Everyone is glad that we now have a digital dictation solution.”
