Bra-wearing walkers raise £5,000 with Lexacom’s help

Lexacom has helped a team of walkers to raise £5,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness after sponsoring them in their bid to complete the recent 26.2-mile London Playtex Moonwalk.

The ‘Go 4 Bust’ team – consisting of Jane Cozens, Lara MacDonald, Sarah Skinner and Amy Crawfurd – joined 17,000 other women in taking to London’s streets for the popular fundraising event that requires all competitors to wear their bra in a show of solidarity towards beating breast cancer.

The team took 7.5 hours to complete the marathon distance route, leaving the Hyde Park start at 11.20pm and arriving at the finish just before 6.50am. All four members of ‘Go 4 Bust’ displayed the Lexacom logo on their distinctive team outfit and were rewarded by the digital dictation software house with a £500 cheque for their efforts.

Jane Cozens said: “The atmosphere on the walk was absolutely amazing and we’re very proud that we’ve managed to raise £5,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness – a charity that’s close to all of our hearts for lots of different reasons. We’d like to say a big thank you to Lexacom for its support.”

Lexacom Managing Director, Andy Whiteley, said: “The girls did fantastically well to get around a 26.2-mile course in the middle of the night and we’re very happy to have supported them in their fundraising effort for what is an excellent charity.”
