Digital dictation expert prepares to launch a brand-new software suite that will further improve efficiency

Lexacom will kick off 2010 by unveiling a brand-new suite of digital dictation software that will give customers even more flexibility when improving the efficiency of their workflow management systems.

The third versions of Lexacom’s market-leading software will be launched in February and have been written to embrace the latest developments in information technology.

To ensure its latest software meets the functionality demands of workflow management systems today and into the future, Lexacom has spent much of 2009 carefully writing and developing the latest versions of its digital dictation platforms.

The version 3 software will be able to be fully integrated with all of the major clinical systems in the healthcare sector, will be compatible with all Olympus and Philips hardware, will be more scalable for multi-user practices or hospitals, will offer even more scope for streamlining workflow systems, will be the most reliable Lexacom product ever produced, and will contain a dedicated reporting engine to further reduce referral times. Lexacom is also planning to introduce a ‘voice recognition’ platform shortly.

Lexacom managing director, Andy Whiteley, said: “We’re always striving to give our customers more ways to improve the efficiency of their workflow management systems by improving basic dictation techniques and we have been regularly updating the current software to make sure that happens.

“But we took the decision to make a substantial investment in re-writing the software from back to front because it will give us even more scope for making improvements and adjusting to the constantly changing communication landscape in the healthcare sector. We want to stay ahead of the game in digital dictation management solutions and our customers will notice a quantifiable advantage in the new software.”

Existing customers that have a gold support package will be upgraded to the version 3 software at no extra cost. Customers using earlier versions of Lexacom software will be able to convert to the new software via special conversion channels that are being developed.
