PSUK appoints Lexacom as approved digital dictation supplier

PSUK, the UK's largest purchasing and services organisation operating on behalf of the UK's GP practices, has appointed Lexacom as its approved supplier of digital dictation software.  PSUK selected Lexacom thanks to its functionality, cost-effectiveness and flexibility.

Lexacom’s digital dictation software enables immediate and accurate dictation and transcription, improving practice efficiency and patient care. The software enables doctors to record and mark the urgency of dictations easily, while secretaries benefit from high quality sound recording and can manage their workload more effectively, knowing instantly which dictations are urgent or routine.

Dr Andrew Whiteley, Managing Director of Lexacom, said: "Our appointment as preferred supplier to PSUK comes hot on the heels of other contracts which see Lexacom firmly established as the leading digital dictation provider for the primary care market.  We have developed a deep understanding of the needs of the healthcare profession and look forward to working with more practices to help improve their efficiency and patient service.”

Lexacom’s dictation software was originally developed by doctors for doctors. Its latest software has been designed to make doctors’ lives even easier by
offering improved integration with clinical systems, reporting functions which enable referrals to be tracked and audited, and secure mobile working so dictations can be done anytime, anywhere - even while on home visits.

PSUK is the UK's largest purchasing and services organisation dedicated to reducing costs and increasing profitability for GP practices. PSUK identifies the most up to date and innovative services and works with suppliers to deliver new products to GP practices appropriately and cost-effectively.
