Lexacom ITN Video
*It is extremely innovative and has increased our productivity.

Lexacom's digital dictation software was put through its paces in front of an ITN film crew, as part of an initiative to showcase innovative products that can save the NHS money.

The NHS sent an ITN film crew to the Thornley House Medical Centre in Hyde, Cheshire to film staff using Lexacom's digital dictation software and to interview them about the benefits it brings to their workflow management systems.

The short film above was then shown to hundreds of delegates at the NHS Alliance Annual Conference in Bournemouth.

In the film, Dr Amir Hannan spoke positively about Lexacom's influence at his practice in Cheshire. He said: "We work across two sites and have seven GPs and two secretaries using the software. It's extremely innovative and has increased our productivity because the secretaries can see all of the letters that are being dictated and can handle the information in manageable chunks rather than everything landing with them on a Friday night."

Andrew Whiteley, Lexacom Managing Director and a qualified GP himself, said: "We were thrilled when we learned that an ITN film crew was going to profile our software. The benefits of digital dictation are massive in the modern healthcare environment and it's very encouraging that this has been recognised and that the performance of our software was used to promote that to a wider NHS audience."
