Q. Is Lexacom compatible with my other software?
Yes, provided that you are running Windows 98, ME, NT(SP6), 2000 or XP. Lexacom Talk & Type works independently of any 3rd party software package, although it can also be configured to interact with these if required. Please contact our support desk for further details. Lexacom Talk & Type will also allow you import other types of sound or dictation file, such as the DSS standard supported by Olympus handheld devices and standard wav files (PCM) supported by most other manufacturers, ensuring you can use any current digital dictation hardware you may already have.

Q. What constitutes a user?
A user is either a person who dictates using Lexacom Talk or a person who types the dictation using Lexacom Type. There are no limits to the number of users your system manager can authorise to use your Lexacom dictation network as the licencing is per-PC, not per user. The administration of the dictation and workflow management system is accessed via Lexacom Admin™ and is essential for the configuration of the system: it therefore does not constitute either a ‘user’ or a ‘licenced seat’.
