Past, Present and Future Developments
Aprobrium started the development of the Lexacom suite at ground level by examining dictation methods past and present and analyzing both the shortcomings and benefits of many systems. This enabled the creation of a flexible yet robust, user friendly digital dictation system. This would include a powerful scalable workflow management tool, whilst all the time keeping a keen eye on the end-user’s value for money and the programs long term sustainability. To this day Lexacom have and continue to achieve their goal.
More recently developments have lead to a hands-free solution for Lexacom Talk users (dictators) where their work necessitates this, (such as Pathology departments and other ‘hands-on’ professions) and also a new module for secretarial colleges who wish to equip their students with the ability to use and be aware of the latest digital dictation technology.
Currently under development by Aprobrium, again leading the market in dictation software, is a Voice Recognition ‘back office’ module that does indeed address the problems which have so far inhibited VR’s general use. Details of the release date will be announced shortly. Also in development is an Audit module which will be of particular interest to those who have to account for the costs of their document production. It will, as with all Lexacom products, also offer many useful and intuitive, easy to use tools to enhance productivity.
